What this site is
Telangana.com is an independent reference about the Indian state of Telangana. It brings together, in one calm and readable place, the things people most often look for — the state's history and heritage, its landmarks and temples, food and festivals, geography and economy, and a growing set of resources for students, including a general-knowledge quick-reference and a guide to the state's universities and institutions.
Everything is published in both English and Telugu, so it is useful to readers in the state, across India, and in the wider Telugu diaspora.
How the facts are chosen and checked
The site deliberately focuses on stable, evergreen facts — the things that stay true for years — drawn from public and authoritative sources such as government portals, official statistics and well-established references. Where a figure is naturally approximate or slow-moving, it is written that way rather than given false precision.
We deliberately avoid time-sensitive information — exam dates, application deadlines, cut-offs, current office-holders, scheme details and the like — because it changes constantly and quickly becomes misleading. For anything of that kind, we point readers to the relevant official website instead.
Mistakes are still possible. If you spot one, please tell us (see below) and we will look into it and correct it.
Independence
Telangana.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Government of Telangana or any official body. It is an independent project. The name reflects the subject of the site, not any official status.
No intrusive ads, privacy-friendly by design
There are no pop-ups, no tracking cookies, and no advertising networks following you around. To understand which pages are useful, the site uses a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service that measures aggregate traffic only. You can read the details in our Privacy Policy.
