Hyderabad: City boy Mohammad Siraj had a nightmarish debut for India when he leaked 53 runs in his four overs against New Zealand in the second T20 match in Rajkot on Saturday.
The 23-year-old fast bowler, son of an auto driver, however had some consolation when he dismissed New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson, who was caught in the deep on the leg side. He was smashed for five fours and three sixes in a forgettable debut match.
Bowling the second over for India, Siraj was smashed for first-ball four by centurion Colin Munro, who also clouted the bowler for two massive sixes.
Earlier, coach Ravi Shastri handed over the Indian cap to Siraj.
