TDP frantic over Jagan’s padayatra: YSRC
Hyderabad: YSR Congress said the remarks of TDP leaders indicate that the ruling party is scared of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s padayatra from November 2, covering entire Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, party spokesperson Amabti Rambabu said, “The TDP leaders are voicing concern as to how can Jagan undertake padayatra unmindful of the fact that the democratic process of mass contact programme can be undertaken by any leader. What they fear is that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s corrupt deals and his failure to keep up the poll promises and compromising on the Special Category Status (SCS) would be exposed during padayatra.”
After a successful Yuva Bheri at Ananthapur, the ruling party had gone to into defence and was trying to defame Jagan by resorting to personal attacks, he said and added that their failure to broach the SCS for personal reasons were exposed.
“It has become very clear that Chandrababu Naidu had compromised on the SCS and it is the lifeline for youth to get jobs. We will fight till we achieve the goal no matter what the TDP thinks of it. Youth are committing suicides as they are unable to get employment and the State should take the blame for the deaths as SCS would have created employment for many.
It would be a historic programme as it is coming at a time when people are vexed with the policies and governance of TDP which is laden with corruption, nepotism and opportunism, he said.
